NC Choices is excited to announce the 4th Annual Carolina Meat Conference,October 12-13, 2015 in downtown Winston-Salem. NC Choices’ Carolina Meat Conference is a nationally recognized event, specifically focused on bringing together every part of the meat supply chain, from farmers all the way through to the final consumers. The two-day event includes a pre-conference farm tour followed by two-days of hands-on workshops, butchery demos, and a cutting edge class line-up combine for unmatched learning and networking opportunities pertaining to success in the specialty meat industry. Over 30 expert instructors will be featured this year on multiple tracks and a fantastic trade show will take place over the entire two days. KEYNOTE: NC Choices is honored to present the internationally acclaimed keynote speaker, Allan Savory, founder of holistic management and the Savory Institute. Savory is perhaps best known for his message, “only livestock can save us,” addressing holistic management as a solution to improving pasture land and reversing climate change. Savory is a Zimbabwean biologist, farmer, soldier, exile, and environmentalist. Savory has been awarded the Banksia International Award highlighting environmental excellence and the Buckminister Fuller Challenge Award, proposing solutions to complex global problems. Savory was featured on TED’s “Ads Worth Spreading” in 2010, and addressed the United Nations Framework on Climate Change in Germany 2011.
