To commemorate National Agriculture Day, join us for a screening of The Last Barn Dance, which chronicles dairy farmer Randy Lewis’ fight to save his business in an economy that has decimated most other family farms in Alamance County, North Carolina.
(Runtime 30 minutes.) Beginning at 6:30 p.m., enjoy a display highlighting small farming and agricultural extension from the NCSU Libraries Special Collections Research Center.
Plus a post-film discussion with special guests:
  • Jason Arthurs, director and producer
  • Randy Lewis, the farmer featured in the film
  • John Day, military partnership coordinator for NC Growing Together
  • Banjoist Lily James, a student at Sanderson High School, will perform a selection of songs from the barn dance tradition.
