Attention graphicWe continue to work with county and state health officials, as well as NC State and N.C. A&T State Universities, to monitor the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. To help prevent the spread of the virus, effective immediately and until further notice, the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Catawba County office will be operating on a reduced schedule from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the office closed from noon to 1 p.m. for cleaning and staff rotation.
Our agents are still available via email, phone, and other technological means, and will continue to assist you to the best of their ability. Find contact info and details regarding N.C. Cooperative Extension, Catawba County Center operations on our website. Please be sure to click on the agent’s name in order to see their email contact info. You can also call our office and we will get back with you.
We are asking all of our clients and community members to consider calling or emailing us instead of visiting our office.  We are placing soil testing materials outside our office door if you need to take a soil sample and send it in. Please help us to minimize social interactions in order to protect your family, our staff, and the greater community.
Until further notice, all of our programs, workshops, classes, and association meetings are canceled. Two exceptions are the 4-H plant sale pickup (contact Donna Mull for more info) and the dairy steer de-horning and castrating session this week. Please stay tuned for more updates and information.
Please know that these changes are intended to protect the health and safety of our community while striving to provide the resources and services you need. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and act consistently with local, state and national recommendations.

We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time, and we are committed to continue serving and growing our community. Together we will see it through, one day at a time.
