The North Carolina Cooperative Extension Local Foods Flagship Program is a partnership between The Cooperative Extension Program at North Carolina Agricultural &Technical State University, College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, and the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service at North Carolina State University, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

A number of departments, programs, institutes, and centers at both North Carolina land-grant universities, work with North Carolina Cooperative Extension and others on local food systems projects, programs and initiatives. These include:
