The Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-basedPreventive Controls for Human Food regulation (referred to as the Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation)is intended to ensure safe manufacturing/processing, packing and holding of food products for human consumption inthe United States. The regulation requires that certain activities must be completed by a “preventive controlsqualified individual” (PCQI). This course is the “standardized curriculum” recognized by FDA. Successfullycompleting this course is one way to meet the requirements for a PCQI.

Edge at Lavender Oaks Farm |6 - 9 pm On December 6, we'll present our final event of the series amid the fragrant setting of Lavender Oaks Farm in Chapel Hill with guest speaker John T. Edge, author of critically acclaimed  The Potlikker Papers: A Food History of the Modern South. A prolific writer and insightful social commentator, Edge is director of the influential Southern Foodways Alliance.
