“The Goodness Grows in North Carolina program is the official marketing program for the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The primary goal of the program is to assist in the promotion of North Carolina Agriculture as a whole and increasing the visibility of NC products by working with growers and companies that produce NC agricultural products.” - Certified Roadside Farmers’ Market Program (NCDA&CS) “The Certified Roadside Farm Market Program is designed to promote North Carolina roadside farm markets that primarily sell produce (horticultural crops) grown by the operator and other local farmers. The goal of this program is to increase sales to consumers of products grown and sold by North Carolina farmers. The program also seeks to assist roadside farm markets with improving their marketing skills, to improve the quality of products sold, and to promote fair and honest marketing practices.”

- Appalachian Grown™ Certification
“The Appalachian Grown™ logo is displayed with farm products grown or raised in Western North Carolina and the Southern Appalachian Mountains.” - Piedmont Grown
Member-based certification program with the mission “to promote local food systems through the certification of food and farm products grown or raised in 37 counties in the North Carolina Piedmont Region.”
